Linda Aitchison - The PR WomanHello, I’m Linda and I love to travel. Who doesn’t?

These days I’m also obsessed with helping travel and leisure industry clients communicate well and listen to their customers – new or old alike. Or their potential customers of course. I understand how to drive genuine engagement, raise profile and boost bottom line.

I’ve a wealth of experience in raising and strengthening clients’ profile through expert media relations. A career in journalism, working with regional, national and international media, means I know what I’m talking about.

And I’m a safe pair of hands when it comes to making sure your copy is fresh, well-written and impressive – giving it the ‘oomph’ it needs to really make a splash.

I love to train teams in realistic liaison with the media and run tailored workshops in what the media want, effective press release writing and more.

I’ve won numerous awards as a writer and businesswoman. From ‘most inspirational blogger’ for my work in mental health, to highly commended in West Midlands Business Woman of the Year, it has been great to be recognised.

My travel blog, Have a lovely time, was awarded various accolades. I built it to 40,000 readers a month and am delighted that it’s back up and running after a bit of a rest!

But I’m really not one for the limelight and prefer to help my clients grab the attention while I remain in the background. I don’t believe the PR woman should be the story!

As managing director at Cannock-based The Marketing Room, we scooped highly commended in ‘most innovative business’ (thanks to my work in social media training) as well as in ‘best place to work’ – though that would have been largely down to my gorgeous, much-missed business partner’s brownies.
